In Memoriam
Backhausdance lost our beloved, incredible Nancy Dickson-Lewis, Professor Emerita, Chapman University, former chair of the Dance Department, on March 24, 2021, after a valiant and lengthy fight against cancer. Nancy’s legacy and imprint on Backhausance is forever in our hearts. She has been part of the Backhausdance family since our beginning in 2003, as a board member, advisor, choreography mentor, performance coach, donor, and in general - dance mom to everyone. We will miss seeing her, talking about choreography with her, and just enjoying being with her. Rest in peace, dear Nancy. Your legacy and spirit are with us always.
